My sister has been diagnosed with Susac’s Syndrome. It is a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the brain, retina, and inner ear. She is now bedridden and left with only limited mobility in her upper body. She has trouble moving her tongue which makes it difficult to eat, drink, and speak. Her personality has also changed drastically and she is now very child-like. Her doctors say that this is treatable but none are sure what her recovery will be. They have said that it is more than likely that she will not regain the hearing and vision that she has already lost. Recovery can take anywhere between a few months and several years. Even if she goes into remission, there is always the chance that it will come back. She is currently in a hospital in LA, California and my mother has flown out there to be with her but we are hoping that she will be well enough to fly home to us in Illinois. She has a very difficult road ahead of her both physically and financially. She will not be able to even begin to pay off her medical bills so we are relying on the kindness of friends, family, and even strangers. Every little bit goes a long way. Reblogs, support, and donations are all very welcome.
Please. I will get on my knees and beg if I have to. This is my baby sister and I lover her so much. She is such a wonderful human being and she doesn’t deserve this. I am trying to be strong for her but I am on the verge of falling apart completely.
Here is a page my other sister has set up where she can post updates on Kylie’s status and people can leave supportive messages: Pray For Kylie.
Having tattoos and piercings is not unprofessional. What’s unprofessional is turning down an aspiring employee due to superficial reasons and not their skill level or experience
